Young Golfing Phenom Connor Graham Makes Waves in the World of Golf
Connor Graham, a promising young golfer from Blairgowrie, Scotland, has been making headlines in the world of golf. Born on October 24th, 2007, this talented athlete has already achieved remarkable feats in his young career.
Graham attended Blairgowrie High School and was mentored by 1999 Champion Golfer of the Year, Paul Lawrie. His father, Stuart, was a professional golfer at Dunbar Golf Club, and his uncle held the position of Chairman of Forfar Athletic FC. Graham also has two older brothers, one of whom, Gregor, is a professional golfer.
Graham's golfing prowess was evident early on, as he won the Junior European Boys tournament in 2021 and reached the semi-finals of the Scottish Amateur Championship at the age of 14 in 2021. In 2022, he claimed the R&A's Junior Open by five strokes with a 13-under-par score.
In 2024, despite struggling with injury, Graham made a successful return and started all 14 events for Texas Tech, where he had the lowest scoring average of 71.1 over 41 rounds. He was also announced in the Big 12 All-Tournament Team, becoming the first player from Texas Tech to achieve that accolade since Ludvig Aberg in 2023.
In 2024 and 2025, Graham finished top of the stroke play portion of The Amateur Championship. However, he was defeated in the quarter-final by Jacob Skov Olesen in 2024 and in the round of 32 by Ethan Fang in 2025.
In 2025, Graham secured a spot on Team International for the Arnold Palmer Cup. Later that year, he qualified for The 153rd Open Championship at Royal Portrush. Unfortunately, at The Open, he fired rounds of 73 and 79 to miss the cut.
Despite this setback, Graham continued to make strides in his career. In July 2025, he secured a spot on the GB&I Walker Cup team for the second time. In 2023, he made history by becoming the youngest ever player on the team and went on to win the Scottish Men's Open, further cementing his place in the golfing world.
As Connor Graham continues to grow and develop as a golfer, it is clear that his future in the sport is bright. With his talent, determination, and support from mentors like Paul Lawrie, there is no doubt that we will be hearing much more about this young golfer in the years to come.
