In the quiet neighbourhood of Essen-Heidhausen, last night saw an unexpected event unfold. A 31-year-old individual, with a history of similar offenses, was apprehended following an incident on Frielingsdorfweg.

The drama began around 1 AM when a local resident, aged 28, reported repeated glass breaking to the police emergency number. The resident described the person they believed to be responsible for the noise.

Shortly after the call, a nearby service dog handler arrived at the scene. The service dog's name is Yoshi, and he plays an active role in apprehensions. Yoshi was deployed, and he pursued the suspected burglar, eventually apprehending him with a bite to the upper arm.

The apprehended individual, who is of German-Lebanese descent, was taken to a police holding cell. Medical assistance was called to the scene and treated the man at the location. Investigations into the case of aggravated burglary are ongoing.
