Family-friendly Festival GRASSI-FEST takes place on September 7, with three museums extending invitations to all.
On Sunday, September 7, 2025, the GRASSI-FEST will transform the MUSEEN IM GRASSI in Leipzig into a vibrant hub of art, music, and magic. This family festival, organised by the three museums in the GRASSI complex, invites visitors of all ages to immerse themselves in a day of creative exploration and joy.
The event, taking place at Johannisplatz 5-11, will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and promises a diverse range of activities for everyone. The GRASSI-FEST will feature creative stations and workshops, including the Cyanotype workshop, bag printing, soapstone sculpting, and Buchkinder Leipzig's book-making.
For the little ones, there's a free entry policy, making the festival an accessible and enjoyable experience for children under 18. Parents can also look forward to a variety of culinary stands at MUSEEN IM GRASSI, offering food options to suit all tastes.
Aside from the creative workshops, the GRASSI-FEST will also offer interactive stations provided by various cooperation partners. The Music Instruments Museum, for instance, will open its Sound Lab for sound and tone experiments. Leselust e.V. will present imaginative stories, and there's even an opportunity to experience the cinema organ.
Adults can enjoy the event for 9 Euro, with discounted rates of 6 Euro and 4.50 Euro available. As the day winds down, a joyful kinder dance party will bring the festival to a lively close.
