Famous Georgian artist Manana Menabde passes away at the age of 76

Manana Menabde, a versatile and beloved artist, has left an indelible mark on Georgia's cultural landscape. Born in 1948, Menabde was a renowned musician, singer, painter, and actress who contributed significantly to her nation's heritage.

Throughout her illustrious career, Menabde worked with some of the most prestigious ensembles and orchestras. She collaborated with the Tbilisi Symphony Orchestra and the Georgian State Choir, as well as the Shin and Adio folklore ensembles. One of her most notable achievements was touring internationally with the Rero Orchestra.

Menabde's talent was not confined to music. She also graced the silver screen, appearing in several Georgian films. Her interpretations of Georgian, Russian, and European songs and romances captivated audiences, and she was acknowledged as one of those people who turned a legend in her life by Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.

Kobakhidze described Menabde as a legend, expressing his condolences to her family. He praised her for her significant contributions to Georgia's cultural heritage, highlighting her as one of the country's most versatile and beloved artists.

In addition to her work in music and film, Menabde served as the director of the music department of Georgian Radio and Television. She was a member of the Ishkhneli Sisters' celebrated family, further solidifying her place in Georgian history.

Manana Menabde's passing at the age of 76 has left a void that will be difficult to fill. Her legacy, however, will continue to inspire generations to come.
