FC Kairat's Exciting UEFA Champions League Journey

FC Kairat, the Kazakhstani powerhouse, is gearing up for an exciting European adventure in the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League group stage. The team, under the guidance of coach Rafael Urazbakhtin, has been making waves in the footballing world with a series of impressive victories.

Kairat's European journey begins on September 18, as they travel to Portugal to face Sporting Clube de Portugal. This will be the first of many challenging encounters, with Kairat set to play against some of the continent's top clubs.

The team's first home match will be against Real Madrid on September 30 in Almaty. This highly anticipated clash is sure to draw a large crowd, as Kairat looks to make its mark against one of the world's most prestigious clubs.

Following the Real Madrid match, Kairat will face Pafos FC at home on October 21. The team will then travel to Italy for a match against Internazionale Milano FC on November 5. Kairat's hectic schedule continues with an away match against Copenhagen FC on November 26.

Kairat's impressive form has not gone unnoticed, as they have overtaken several European nations in the UEFA country rankings. Kazakhstan has moved up five places, now sitting at 34th in the rankings. This improvement is largely due to Kairat's remarkable qualifying campaign, which saw them triumph over Finland's KuPS with a score of 3:2, and secure an upset over Scotland's Celtic in the play-off round with a score of 0:0 (3:2 on pens).

The group stage will reach its climax with a home match against Club Brugge KV on January 20. Kairat will then travel to Arsenal FC on January 28 to conclude the group stage. The team will also host Olympiacos FC on December 9, providing another opportunity to showcase their talents on home soil.

Throughout this challenging group stage, Kairat has demonstrated resilience and determination. This was evident in their penalty shootout victory against Slovakia's Slovan (1:1, 4:3 on pens), and their 3:1 aggregate win against Slovenia's Olimpija.

UEFA has announced the fixtures for the 2025/26 group stage, and Kairat is ready to take on the challenge. With their sights set on progressing to the knockout stages, FC Kairat is poised to make history in the UEFA Champions League.
