Federal authorities detained an individual sought for arrest upon exiting the airport in NRW region.
On August 25th, a 42-year-old Ukrainian national was arrested at Dortmund Airport. The arrest, made by deployment forces around 2:00 PM, was due to an outstanding arrest warrant issued by the Public Prosecutor's Office in Brunswick.
The woman, who was fined €390 or alternatively sentenced to 13 days in prison for a previous conviction of theft, was initially attempting to fly to Tirana, Albania. The arrest took place at Dortmund Airport's passport control.
Upon her arrival, the arrest warrant was cross-checked with police systems, confirming the need for her detainment. The woman's son appeared at the Federal Police station shortly after, claiming he had the necessary money to pay the fine. After paying the fine, the son left the station with his mother.
