Federal Law Enforcement Carried Out Arrest Warrant, Imprisoning 24-Year-Old for a Month

On July 22, 2025, a significant development unfolded at Halle (Saale) Central Station. A 24-year-old Syrian national, who had been the subject of an arrest warrant issued by the State Prosecutor's Office in Bamberg since February 2025, was apprehended by a patrol from the Federal Police.

The individual, who had previously been sentenced to a fine of 400 euros or 40 days' imprisonment in January 2023 for misuse of identity documents, had failed to pay the imposed fine of 310 euros, leading to the issuance of the arrest warrant.

The arrest was carried out after the suspect was encountered and the details of both the suspect and any witnesses were duly recorded. Following the arrest, the authorities were promptly informed about the execution of the arrest warrant.

The theft incident, which occurred in a pharmacy, was also filed as a separate criminal complaint. The suspect was subsequently taken into custody and brought to a detention facility to serve the remaining 31 days of his imprisonment.
