Federal Police Inspectorate Munich Successfully Secures 60th Munich Security Conference
The Federal Police Inspectorate Munich has successfully ensured a smooth and incident-free experience for travelers during the 60th Munich Security Conference (MSC 2024), according to a statement from the Federal Police Directorate Munich.
The police force, which is responsible for police hazard prevention and criminal prosecution in the area of German railways and the largest German S-Bahn network, has been actively patrolling train facilities throughout the conference. Over 200 forces, including regular personnel and officials from Bayreuth and Deggendorf, were deployed for the operation.
During the two-day event, a total of 92 identity checks were conducted from Friday to Saturday, with only one search. Ten assistance operations were carried out, including helping people who were heavily intoxicated. Fourteen dispersal orders were issued during the operation.
Chief Police Director Steffen Quaas expressed his satisfaction with the operation, citing good cooperation and preparation as key factors. He thanked the forces for their contributions to the successful event in Munich.
