Ferne McCann faces criticism from viewers over participation in a perceived cruel TikTok challenge involving her pet dog

In one video, Ferne held her dog Clemmie's ears up to the camera and squashed them tightly together, attempting to recreate the 24k gold Labubu trend. This action did not sit well with many of her followers, who expressed concern and threatened to call the RSPCA, stating that Clemmie looked confused and hurt.
The incident came shortly after Ferne shared a breastfeeding picture on Instagram during her holiday in Greece. One troll commented, "And here's the unnecessary breastfeeding pic again!", while another warned, "Not sure the kid will appreciate that breastfeeding photo being out there when older!" Another critic added, "You're hurting him."
Ferne McCann, who recently gave birth to daughter Finty with fiance Lorri Haines in July 2023, opened up about her breastfeeding journey during her holiday. She mentioned that Finty breastfed on demand while they were away and that there are perks of continuing breastfeeding past 1 year, especially while traveling. However, she also admitted that she struggles to say no.
Ferne McCann is also mother to Sunday, seven, from a previous relationship. Despite the criticism she has received, she has not yet tried to stop breastfeeding and anticipates it will be difficult when they eventually do.
The controversy over Ferne's posts has sparked a broader discussion about the boundaries of celebrity behaviour on social media. One commenter stated, "Most women just get on with it, but she must photograph it for Instagram.... priorities I guess." Another follower wrote, "RSPCA... poor little face so confused and hold ears so tight."
