New Fiat Grande Panda EV Arrives in Showrooms Spring 2025

The automotive world is abuzz with the upcoming release of the Fiat Grande Panda, a new addition to Fiat's vehicle lineup. Scheduled to arrive in showrooms in early 2025, this innovative vehicle is set to rebalance Fiat's current focus on its 500 model and introduce a new family of vehicles.

The Grande Panda takes design inspiration from the 1980 original Panda, but is larger, measuring 3.99 meters in length. It boasts a softer-shaped interior aesthetic, dominated by a long lozenge-shape dashboard, and offers decent cabin space upfront. The passenger-side of the interior includes a top-opening box clad in bamboo yarn and bright yellow accents on rectangular air vents.

The Grande Panda will be available in a variety of exterior colours, and will offer both hybrid and electric options. Fiat is offering a range of battery options to provide greater choice. A 100hp hybrid version and an 113hp EV version will be available.

The EV version of the Grande Panda features a world-first connected charging cable that stays attached to the car, making charging a seamless experience. Fiat claims a range of 199 miles for the launch-spec 44kWh battery of the Grande Panda EV.

The Grande Panda offers smooth and perky performance, making it suitable for urban environments. It corners well considering its high-ish stance, and has a decent ride. The interior aesthetic is more modern than the exterior, with the dashboard view offering an original and stylish design.

The Grande Panda is available for purchase starting from £18,975 (hybrid) and £20,975 (EV) on Fiat.co.uk. The next model in the Panda family, a "bigger sister," is due in 2026.

Fiat is collaborating with Stellantis, the parent company of Fiat, on the development of the Grande Panda. There is no indication of another brand specifically collaborating on this development. The automobile brand involved in the collaboration will appear in showrooms in spring 2025.

Fiat plans to expand the Panda family with one new model each year for the next three years. The current smaller Panda will continue to be in production in some markets.

The Grande Panda's design incorporates graphically slick and historically brand-appropriate references to Fiat's 125 years of automotive know-how and the 45-year-old Panda model name. The vehicle features a 10-inch digital driver display and a 10.25-inch center screen, making it a tech-savvy addition to the Fiat lineup.

The Grande Panda EV has a 361-litre boot in the non-hybrid version and 412 litres in the hybrid version, making it a practical choice for everyday use. Whether you're looking for a stylish, tech-savvy, and eco-friendly vehicle, the Fiat Grande Panda is sure to meet your needs.
