Financial institution BNY Merrill Lynch brings on board British Petroleum's former executive to take up the position of Chief Information Officer.

BNY Mellon, a leading global financial institution renowned for its technological innovation, has announced the appointment of Leigh-Ann Russell as its next Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Global Head of Engineering. Russell is set to join the bank on September 15.

Russell brings with her an impressive 18-year tenure at British Petroleum (BP), where she oversaw digital, information technology, cybersecurity operations, engineering, safety, and science. Her engineering and platforms mindset is expected to aid BNY Mellon's ongoing technological success.
