Financial institution ING has introduced a new service, granting complimentary Exchanged Traded Funds (ETFs) from Fidelity House.
ING Germany has announced an expansion of its cooperation with Fidelity Investments, a move that is part of Fidelity's ETF promotion. This partnership will see the addition of 17 Fidelity exchange-traded funds (ETFs) to ING's range, providing customers with a wider variety of investment options.
One of the key offerings is the Fidelity Global Dividend Fund, an income-oriented ETF that covers both equity and bond markets. This fund, already available to ING customers, is a so-called basic investment without a sales charge, making it an attractive choice for customers seeking income-generating investments in times of low interest rates and rising inflation.
The cooperation between ING and Fidelity is not limited to the Fidelity Global Dividend Fund. In addition to income-oriented ETFs, the partnership also includes sustainable ETFs that cover both equity and bond markets. Investors can purchase these ETFs fee-free with one-time investments starting from 1,000 euros.
Thomas Dwornitzak, Head of Savings and Investments at ING Germany, believes that these income-oriented ETFs can be a solution for customers in the current economic climate. He sees the partnership as a step forward in providing customers with a diverse range of investment options to meet their needs.
Christian Machts, CEO of Fidelity's Third Party Distribution for Germany, Austria, and Eastern Europe, considers the cooperation with Germany's largest direct bank as a great success. Machts, a financial technology expert with 25 years of experience, previously worked in prime brokerage for hedge funds and has held various leadership roles at Fidelity. As of June 1, 2025, he will transition to become Head of Germany and Austria at Franklin Templeton.
Fidelity considers the cooperation with ING as a confirmation of its approach, reflecting its commitment to providing high-quality investment solutions to a diverse range of customers. With this expanded partnership, ING customers can look forward to a more comprehensive selection of ETFs to suit their investment goals and risk profiles.
