Fintech application SyFu joins forces with Salt Edge to incorporate card payment information for enhanced user experience in the Web3 realm

In an exciting development, SyFu has partnered with Salt Edge, a global Open Banking platform, to bring a new era of financial management to users. This partnership unlocks possibilities beyond traditional finance management, as revealed by Virgiliu Bodrug, an Open Banking solutions expert at Salt Edge.

The collaboration allows SyFu to integrate credit and debit card payment data without requiring changes to users' existing payment methods. This means that users can continue to pay with their preferred cards, while the SyFu app automatically reflects their spending in NFT growth and token accumulation.

Tomochika Kamiya, the founder of SyFu, expressed that this integration transforms everyday spending into an economic contribution. Users can now visualize their spending as a digital asset, with the potential to be converted into Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) and tokens.

The integration is designed to be comprehensive, as it enables the integration of card payment data from over 5,000 banks worldwide into the SyFu app. This global reach is expected to provide a seamless experience for users, regardless of their banking institution.

SyFu, currently in public beta on the testnet, is scheduled to launch its open beta on mainnet soon. The platform combines non-custodial wallets, decentralised IDs, and Soulbound Tokens to reward spending with on-chain value.

Salt Edge is a Co-Located Event Partner at the Open Banking Expo UK & Europe 2025, taking place at the Business Design Centre in London on 21-22 October. Further reading is available about Tradu choosing Salt Edge for PSD2 compliance and payment initiation.

This partnership represents a significant step forward in the integration of traditional banking with decentralised finance, offering users a unique and innovative way to manage their finances and reap the benefits of digital assets.
