Fire consumes a North Philadelphia residence, forcing a woman to leap from a second-story window in a desperate bid to escape the inferno.

In the early hours of Sunday morning, a rowhouse fire broke out on the 200 block of East Stella Street in Philadelphia's Fairhill neighbourhood. The incident occurred around 1:45 a.m.

Firefighters arrived at the scene to find the rowhouse fully engulfed in flames. Upon entering the burning building, they discovered a woman who had been forced to jump from a second-story window. The woman was quickly attended to by the fire crews and taken to Temple University Hospital.

The woman's current condition is critical, and there is no update on her recovery at this time. Unfortunately, there is no word yet on whether any others were injured in the fire.
