A significant fire broke out in the agricultural town of Saamen on Friday afternoon, causing extensive damage to property and prompting a large-scale response from local fire departments.

According to the Public Relations Unit of Police Headquarters Ravensburg, the fire started in the roof of a haystack at around 2 p.m. The blaze quickly spread, causing approximately 700,000 euros in property damage. The affected buildings include a barn and an adjacent house, which is currently uninhabitable.

In response to the incident, approximately 15 fire engines and 70 firefighters from surrounding towns were deployed to combat the blaze. Efforts to extinguish the fire are continuing into the evening.
