Fire service in Bocholt successfully contained a blaze, avoiding residential property damage and ensuring no reported injuries.
At 15:50, the Bocholt Fire Department was called to a fire incident at Moddenburgstraße. The fire had broken out in an annex used as a storage facility of a residential building.
Upon arrival, the annex was heavily smoked. Immediately, several teams in heavy breathing apparatus sprang into action, initiating extinguishing measures. The fire department also employed a turntable ladder to monitor the roof of the annex during the extinguishing process.
Fortunately, all residents of the building had evacuated unharmed before the fire department arrived. Approximately 60 professional and volunteer firefighters and emergency services personnel were involved in the operation, working tirelessly to bring the fire under control and prevent it from spreading to the adjacent residential building.
The fire was successfully contained, and the entire area was ventilated. The burning material was removed from the building to be completely extinguished outdoors. Thanks to the swift and effective response, the fire was brought under control, and no further damage was caused to the residential building or adjacent properties.
