Firebreak at a goods storage site on a campground
On August 29, 2025, at 22:17, a fire was reported at the "Ecktannen" campsite in Waren. The Waren volunteer fire department attended the scene with 34 firefighters, and the blaze was quickly extinguished. However, the estimated property damage is around 100,000 euros.
The Police Headquarters Neubrandenburg is the responsible authority for the Ecktannen campsite fire incident. The Division 1/ Operations Control Center, a department within the Police Headquarters Neubrandenburg, has taken charge of the inquiry. The fire was located in the men's toilet area and the adjacent electrical room. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident. The Police Commissioner, Erik Günther, has not made a public statement regarding the incident as of yet.
