Flame erupts in farming equipment at Bocholt, referencing the fire incident in a harvester located in Bocholt, Germany.
The Bocholt Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire in Holtwick on Friday evening at 21:13, with the incident involving a combine harvester on a field at Straße Hoves Esch.
Upon arrival, the fire department found the vehicle fully engulfed in flames. Despite the challenging circumstances, the driver of the vehicle was able to steer it to the edge of the field and escape unharmed.
To combat the blaze, a tanker truck was used for water supply in a shuttle system, while several teams in breathing apparatus prevented the fire from spreading to the field and extinguished the vehicle. The operation required 6 vehicles and 20 personnel from the Bocholt Fire Department.
The Bocholt Fire Department was supported during the operation by the local volunteer fire department. The operation was completed after approximately 2 hours, with additional personnel staffing the fire station at Dingdener Straße during the operation.
