Flight crew member discovered without clothing in restroom, suspected drug usage during in-air journey by British Airways staff member
In a shocking turn of events, Haden Pentecost, a former flight attendant for British Airways, has been sacked from his position. The incident that led to his dismissal occurred during a flight from California to London, where Pentecost was found naked and impaired by methamphetamine and amphetamine in the plane's toilet.
According to reports, Pentecost, from Basingstoke, failed to complete pre-flight safety checks and exhibited unusual behaviour during the flight, including sweating and babbling. His behaviour was so concerning that he was monitored every 20 minutes due to a rapid heart rate and dilated pupils.
After complaining of cramps, Pentecost locked himself in the toilet and was found naked. The incident caused a significant disturbance, and paramedics were called to attend to him upon landing at Heathrow.
Pentecost was stood down by his manager due to his behaviour, and he was later dismissed by British Airways. The court hearing for this incident took place at Uxbridge Magistrates' Court, where Pentecost was granted bail.
The court hearing for a more detailed hearing will take place at Isleworth Crown Court at a later date. It is unclear what the outcome of this hearing will be, but it is certain that this incident has had a significant impact on Pentecost's career with British Airways.
