Following the conclusion of outdoor swimming: canine frolicking in Palatinate waters.
Dog Swimming Events Across the Region
Dog lovers and their furry friends have several opportunities to enjoy a splash in the water this September, as various locations in the region host dog swimming events.
On September 20, dog swimming will be allowed at the Freibad am Prießnitzweg in Landau. While the organiser of the event remains unspecified, the pool will be open for canine swimmers. Dogs are permitted to bring their favourite toys into the water, but owners are not allowed to enter. The event is exclusive for dogs.
Meanwhile, the dog swimming event at the Freibad am Willersinnweiher in Ludwigshafen has been taking place since 2020 and will occur again on September 6. This popular event also requires dog owners to present a valid dog vaccination pass with proof of rabies vaccination. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
In Weidenthal, the bathing pond will host a dog swimming event on a Sunday (the exact date is yet to be announced). Dogs can swim until 3 p.m. on that day, after which the bathing season will end. The kiosk will be open during the event, and entry is only possible with a valid vaccination certificate.
Unfortunately, dog swimming is not an option at the Bademaxx in Speyer or the Salinarium in Bad Dürkheim at the end of the bathing season. The Stadionbad Neustadt will be covered with an air hall, transforming it into "Moby Dick," preventing a dog swimming event from taking place.
At Aquabella's outdoor pool area in Mutterstadt, the exact date for dog swimming is still to be announced. The closing date of the outdoor pool is dependent on the weather.
It's important to note that the entrance fee for dogs varies across locations. At the Freibad am Prießnitzweg in Landau, the fee is five euros, while in Ludwigshafen, it's four euros.
As always, remember to ensure your dog's safety and enjoy a fun-filled day at these dog swimming events!
