FCSB Qualifies for Europa League Group Stage with Impressive 3-0 Win Over Aberdeen

The Romanian football team FCSB has secured a spot in the group stage of the Europa League, following a convincing 3-0 victory over Scotland's Aberdeen on August 28.

The qualification was achieved at home, in Bucharest, with FCSB scoring the first goal before halftime, thanks to a penalty. The match seemed evenly matched until the 40th minute, when a penalty was awarded to FCSB after a VAR double-check.

The team's coach, Elias Charalambous, expressed satisfaction with the qualification, stating it is a "huge one" for the players and supporters. Adrian Şut scored a superb goal for FCSB in the 52nd minute, and the third goal came in the 59th minute. After the third goal, Aberdeen posed no more threats to FCSB.

The first leg of the Europa League qualification match between FCSB and Aberdeen ended in a 2-2 draw, but the Romanian team secured a 5-2 aggregate score with their impressive home performance. Charalambous expressed a desire to play against Mourinho's team, Fenerbahce, in the group stage.

In addition to the UEFA money, FCSB will also earn money from ticket sales and TV broadcasting rights. The team will receive EUR 7 million from UEFA for qualifying. Universitatea Craiova, another Romanian football team, also qualified for a competition, the Conference League, after beating Istanbul Bașakșehir. Universitatea Craiova secured EUR 4.3 million for its feat.

The article was cited from Digi24, and the photo source for the article is FCSB on Facebook. It is worth noting that the Aberdeen player who was sent off received his second yellow card. Florin Tănase had a shot saved by the Aberdeen goalkeeper, Mitov, in the 55th minute.

This qualification marks an exciting time for Romanian football, as both FCSB and Universitatea Craiova have secured their places in European competitions. Fans can look forward to watching their teams compete against some of the best teams in Europe.
