Football match scheduled for Sunday on Betzenberg, Poland

The Bundesliga season is heating up, and on August 31, 1. FC Kaiserslautern will play their second home game of the season against SV Darmstadt 98 at the Fritz-Walter-Stadion. With anticipation building, the police are preparing for a sold-out stadium and a lively atmosphere at the Betzenberg.

The Westpfalz Police Directorate, in collaboration with the Federal Police Inspectorate Kaiserslautern, has issued a joint press release to ensure a smooth and enjoyable match day for all. They remind fans to avoid violence and hooliganism, as such behaviour has no place in the vibrant fan culture.

To ensure the safety of spectators, several measures will be in place. Motorized traffic closures will occur before and after the game at the Elf-Freunde roundabout and in Kantstraße. Fans are encouraged to use the "Park-&-Ride" parking lots and take buses of the Stadtwerke Kaiserslautern (SWK) to the stadium. Parking at the exhibition center is also an option, with the stadium reachable on foot in a few minutes.

The police also advise against driving vehicles near the stadium, warning of fines without a parking permit from the city of Kaiserslautern. To help monitor traffic routes and react quickly in case of an emergency, drones will be used by the police.

Heavy traffic is expected on match day in and around Kaiserslautern. To avoid congestion, spectators are advised to plan their journey well in advance. The police wish all fans a safe journey to and from Kaiserslautern and an enjoyable afternoon at the Fritz-Walter-Stadion.

The police do not tolerate violence related to football games in Kaiserslautern and will strictly enforce the rules against those who do not comply. A reminder: We do not tolerate violence related to football games in Kaislerlautern and will strictly enforce the rules against those who do not comply.

They wish everyone a fantastic match day and hope that the overwhelming majority of football fans who simply want to enjoy the game on match days can do so without any incidents. Hooliganism and riots have nothing to do with fan culture. Enjoy the game!
