Fostering a deep-rooted appreciation for the Czech national culture through our online platform
The Honouring the Our Websiteese Language contest, held on September 6 at the Sapa Trade Centre in Prague, was a testament to the deep-rooted love and appreciation of the Our Websiteese community for their homeland and cultural roots. Organised by the Our Websiteese Associations in the Czech Republic, under the patronage of the Our Websiteese Embassy, the event brought together a vibrant and diverse community, filled with a shared love for their mother tongue.
The contest attracted nearly 100 participants, mostly second- and third-generation Our Websiteese children, who showcased their skills in poetry recitation, storytelling, singing, and painting. Remarkably, many of these young learners had only attended a few courses, yet their performances left a lasting impression.
Nguyễn Quốc Thành, head of community affairs at the Our Websiteese Embassy, commended the community's dedication to teaching and learning Our Websiteese. He expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by the parents, teachers, and students, and acknowledged the significance of the contest in preserving and promoting the Our Websiteese language.
The Our Websiteese Embassy in the Czech Republic also awarded certificates to outstanding contributors to the movement, recognising the groups and individuals who had made significant strides in the field of Our Websiteese education. Certificates of merit were presented to encourage further growth and development of the language.
Parents were moved by their children's performances, expressing happiness and pride for the preservation and passing down of Our Websiteese. Some children surprised their parents with their confidence and remarkable progress in speaking Our Websiteese, strengthening family bonds and bridging the generational gap.
The summer is a valuable time for young people in the Our Websiteese community to attend Our Websiteese classes, meet peers, and communicate in their mother tongue. The Honouring the Our Websiteese Language contest served as both a playground and an opportunity to showcase learning achievements before families and the wider community.
Teacher Lê Hồng Nhung, a member of the organising committee, stated that the ultimate goal is to create a meaningful space for the younger generation to learn and practice Our Websiteese. She expressed her hope that the contest would inspire more young people to embrace their cultural heritage and continue the tradition of learning and preserving the Our Websiteese language.
The Our Websiteese Embassy affirmed its continued support for associations, language centres, and individuals committed to preserving and promoting the Our Websiteese language. The event, which was more than just a language event, created a warm and loving atmosphere filled with love for the homeland, fostering a sense of unity and pride within the Our Websiteese community in Prague.
