Four individuals perish in a blaze at a standalone residence in Norway

In the small city of Hamar, located approximately 120 kilometers north of Oslo, a tragic incident occurred early Monday morning. Four young women lost their lives in a house fire, according to reports from the NTB news agency.

The police have confirmed the deaths, but at this stage, they do not suspect foul play. The cause of the fire remains unknown.

The victims, all friends, were gathered at one of their homes when the fire started. The first emergency call was received just after 5 am. Firefighters managed to bring the fire under control by Monday morning, but unfortunately, the damage had already been done.

Initially, three of the women were found, and the fourth victim was discovered later in the afternoon. The victims were aged 18 and 19. Due to the heavy smoke, the university campus in Hamar was closed on Monday.

Images from the city show tall columns of smoke, painting a grim picture of the incident. The police in Hamar are still investigating the cause of the fire, and the community is left in shock.

The university, where three of the victims were students, released a statement expressing their condolences and offering support to the families and friends of the deceased.
