In the Siberian city of Tomsk, a 36-year-old resident has been charged with inflicting fatal injuries on his acquaintance in two separate domestic disputes, which occurred two months apart in September and November 2024.

The first incident took place on September 8, 2024, in the suspect's apartment. Under the influence of alcohol, the suspect used a wooden stool to strike his acquaintance several times, resulting in severe, life-threatening injuries. The victim was hospitalized and required extensive medical treatment.

The second incident occurred on November 1, 2024. This time, the suspect stabbed his acquaintance in the thigh with a knife, leading to his death at the scene before medical assistance arrived. Once again, the men were drinking alcohol during the argument.

The press service of the regional Investigative Committee reported the case, and investigators gathered sufficient evidence, including court expert opinions, witness testimonies, and material evidence. The suspect fully confessed to his guilt during the investigation. He was held in custody throughout the investigation.

The criminal case with the approved indictment has been sent to court for trial. The judge presiding over the trial has not been specified. It's worth noting that the suspect has a history of past convictions.

The incidents serve as a grim reminder of the devastating consequences of domestic violence. The Tomsk community mourns the loss of life and hopes for justice to be served in this case. The criminal trial is ongoing.
