Functioning pipeline in Isargestade
The Isargestade, a significant transportation hub in Nuremberg, is currently undergoing construction. This closure has resulted in changes for bus lines servicing the area.
During the construction period, pedestrians and cyclists can continue to pass through the site unhindered. However, the bus lines 7, X3, 501, and 530 will experience a detour and will not be serving the Isargestade or Stadtwerke stops.
The stops Isargestade and Stadtwerke (towards the city center) are temporarily unavailable due to the closure. A temporary stop has been set up in front of the main building of the Stadtwerke to accommodate passengers.
The construction is divided into two phases. The first phase, from September 3 to October 15, focuses on the area between Podewilsstraße and Johann-Weiß-Weg. The second phase will require a closure between Zweibruckenstraße and Johann-Weiß-Weg.
Access for residents from Podewilsstraße to Johann-Weiß-Weg/Litschengasse is free, and they can drive from Zweibrückenstraße to the parking lot of the Deutsche Rentenversicherung/Ussar-Villa.
Traffic will be rerouted via multiple routes during the construction. One such route includes Podewilsstraße - Schlachthofstraße - Stethaimerstraße - John-F.-Kennedy-Platz - Seligenthaler Straße - Bismarckplatz - Zweibrückenstraße. Another route is Podewilsstraße - Am Alten Viehmarkt - Bischof-Sailer-Platz - Heilig-Geist-Gasse - Postplatz and Zweibrückenstraße.
Drivers are asked to observe closure and detour signs, no-parking zones, and to circumvent the construction site accordingly. It's important to note that the detour routes for cars and buses do not overlap.
Passengers are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and allow extra time for travel during this period. For the latest updates on the construction and bus service changes, visitors can check the local transportation authority's website or social media channels.
