Future Disneyland Events and Highlights to Anticipate in 2025: Key Disney News, Celebrations, and Festivals to Mark on Your Calendar
Disneyland is gearing up for an unforgettable year in 2025, with a packed calendar of events that promises to delight visitors of all ages.
The festivities begin on May 16, marking the start of Disneyland Resort's 70th anniversary celebrations. A highlight of this occasion is the debut of a short film called "The Last Verse" at the Main Street Cinema, which explores the music of the iconic attraction, "It's a Small World."
From August 17 through October 31, Halloween Time returns, bringing with it "Halloween Screams" nighttime spectacular, new fall character costumes, special tours, kid-friendly entertainment, Halloween food & drink, merchandise, Pluto's Pumpkin Pursuit scavenger hunt, and hotel decorations. The separately ticketed, themed evening event, Disneyland After Dark: Pride Nite, will run during two nights of Pride month, on June 16 and 18.
For those who love Star Wars, the Season of the Force, a Star Wars-themed festival, is set to take place from March 28 through May 11. Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite will also be happening from April 8 through May 6 (select nights).
The celebration of Diá de los Muertos, Plaza de la Familia, will run from Aug. 22 through Nov. 2, honouring family and tradition through live music, storytelling, crafts, and food inspired by Pixar's Coco. Oogie Boogie Bash - A Disney Halloween Party, another themed evening event, will run from Aug. 17 through Oct. 31.
For the winter holidays, festivities will run from Nov. 14 through early 2026, although details for 2025 are still limited. Last year, the holidays included a lights display on It's a Small World and Sleeping Beauty's Winter Castle.
For families with young children, Disneyland is offering a limited-time offer. Kids between ages 3 through 9 can nab one-day, one-park tickets for as low as $50 per child for visits between Jan. 7 and March 20, 2025.
To make planning and budgeting easier, the increased notice of the Disneyland 2025 calendar allows travelers to subscribe to flight alerts, save for a vacation, and apply for a travel credit card. SoCal resident discounts are also available for three-day tickets for visits before the busy summer season starts again. Prices range from $199 to $385.
In addition to these events, Disneyland Resort in California offers seasonal entertainment such as "A Christmas Fantasy Parade," "Believe ... In Holiday Magic" fireworks, and a water fountain and light show called "World of Color - Season of Light." Limited-time food offerings during the holidays include Mickey-shaped gingerbread and churros in a variety of seasonal flavors.
Besides the 70th anniversary celebration and the aforementioned events, 2025 at Disneyland Parks also features the Lunar New Year festival, Disneyland After Dark: Sweethearts' Nite, Celebrate Gospel concerts, the Star Wars-themed Season of the Force festival, Disney Jr. Let’s Play! events for families and preschoolers, and special gatherings at Destination D23 such as the Kuzcotopia Night at Typhoon Lagoon and an ’80s-’90s Disney music concert.
With so much to look forward to, 2025 is shaping up to be an extraordinary year at Disneyland. So, mark your calendars and get ready for a magical adventure!
