Future of retail shopping showcased at IFA by MediaMarktSaturn
MediaMarktSaturn, Europe's leading retailer for consumer electronics, is set to take centre stage at the IFA Next Show Area on September 5, 2023. From 10:00 am to 5:30 pm, the retail giant will occupy the Dream Stage, showcasing its role in shaping the future of retail and demonstrating pioneering store and service concepts.
The program at the Dream Stage will focus on innovative retail concepts of the future. Marcus Tengler and Susanne Harring will host a panel discussion titled "A Space Full of Possibilities - Space-as-a-Service" at 11:00 am, discussing the transformation of sales areas into flexible experience spaces. The goal of this discussion is to captivate end consumers, optimize the customer experience, and sustainably and successfully shape cooperation with industry partners.
At 2:00 pm, Julian Norberg will present "Personal Service Like Your Local Store - Personalized Service", aiming to set new standards in stationary retail. This presentation will highlight the benefits customers can enjoy, such as shorter waiting times, individual advice, and dedicated contact persons, all of which are key aspects of MediaMarktSaturn's concept.
Connected retail media and marketplace strategies will also be part of the demonstration. The seamless integration of online and offline offerings ensures a consistent shopping experience across all channels. Experience zones, entrance statements, and diverse boutiques will emerge, offering changing themes, products, and services. This adaptive approach allows stores to cater to different customer needs, thanks to different store formats.
MediaMarktSaturn's commitment to customer proximity is evident in its plans to create a nationwide network of nearly 400 stores. This move will ensure that customers receive personal, comprehensive customer support, a service that sets MediaMarktSaturn apart from pure online retailers.
In addition, MediaMarktSaturn has partnered with Uber to deliver online-ordered products to customers within 90 minutes from around 300 stores. This collaboration further enhances the customer experience, making shopping more convenient and efficient.
