In the rapidly evolving world of work, the AV/IT industry is gearing up for a significant shift in 2024. The industry's roadmap for the year ahead does not specifically list or highlight 40 companies, but these companies are set to play a crucial role in shaping the future of meetings.

One key area of focus is the enterprise's ongoing education process. Companies are incorporating productivity software suites from tech giants like Microsoft and Google into the meeting experience, aiming to streamline and enhance collaboration.

The landscape of meetings is expanding beyond highly integrated rooms. Integrators are now tasked with managing rooms of various scales, from simple display installations on walls to appliances on displays. This shift in the number and complexity of rooms requires integrators to adapt and adapt quickly.

Wayne Driggers, Head of Global Alliances at Avocor, predicts that the meeting experience will be a significant trend in hybrid work culture, space planning, and technologies in 2024. He emphasises the importance of focusing on the adoption and education of features, capabilities, and results of hybrid meetings.

As the enterprise continues to determine what has been agreed upon and how it integrates with existing systems, platforms of choice are beginning to emerge and set the enterprise standard. Automated summaries, the option to record and search meetings, and next-gen audio are some of the features expected to improve the meeting experience.

The focus for integrators has expanded beyond just a few highly customized rooms. 15 manufacturers are on the list to support the reader, with 40 AV/IT companies featured in the Roadmaps 2024. Thought leadership is also a key aspect, with 15 thought leaders listed on Streaming Technologies, 28 on Visualization Technologies, 15 on Esports, and 15 on Next-Gen Audio.

End users are expected to see productivity gains from utilizing and understanding these features. As the number of rooms integrators must manage increases, from a few to potentially a hundred, the emphasis is on delivering a seamless and productive meeting experience for all.
