The AV/IT industry is anticipating a prosperous year, with thought leaders and manufacturers focusing on a variety of aspects such as artificial intelligence (AI), the cloud, Esports, next-gen audio, and visualization technologies. This shift is driven by the need to address challenges faced by the higher education sector, such as lower enrollment rates and less funding.

One of the key areas of focus is the use of AV/IT technologies to provide engaging and exciting communal learning experiences. Interoperable camera solutions are being developed to ensure clear, synchronized audio and video are integrated seamlessly into both in-person and remote environments. Live streaming and recording capabilities of these technologies are particularly beneficial for hybrid and remote students, providing them with crisp audio and clear imagery.

Solutions that connect to external audio systems, whether ceiling or handheld microphones, are also in high demand by institutions. This is to ensure that every voice is heard clearly, fostering a more inclusive and participatory learning environment.

In addition to these advancements, the focus is also on next-generation audio. Fifteen thought leaders are exploring this area, aiming to improve and support the AV industry.
