Gathering in the ancient military quarters for a family meal
Landshut, a city that has already earned the prestigious "Child-friendly Municipality" seal since August 2022, is set to host its Family Festival on June 21. This event, taking place from 11 am to 5:30 pm, promises a day filled with fun and activities for families with children up to about 12 years old.
The festival, being held on the lush lawn of the Old Barracks, is a testament to the city council's commitment to enhancing the child-friendliness of Landshut. Over 29 local institutions, facilities, and associations have collaborated to create a varied program that includes crafting and painting activities, games, puppet theater, magic shows, performances by Clown Fabellini, face painting, a bouncy castle, and dance and music performances.
Visitors are welcome to bring their own picnic, and refreshments will also be provided at the event. The city council is also planning to implement additional measures to make the city even more child-friendly in the future.
The festival is just one step in Landshut's ongoing journey towards becoming a more child-friendly city. The city council is currently developing a second action plan to build upon the success of the first and further improve the city's child-friendliness. More information about the event can be found at www.our website/familienfest.
Landshut invites families to join in this celebration of childhood and the city's commitment to creating a welcoming and enjoyable environment for children and families. Admission to the event is free, making it an accessible and enjoyable day out for all.
