In Freiberg and Zittau, Germany, the annual Christopher Street Day (CSD) celebrations took place on a largely trouble-free note, with demonstrations for the rights of queer people, diversity, and tolerance.

According to the police directorate in Chemnitz, a total of 240 officers were on site during the CSD in Freiberg. The organizers of "Colorful Freiberg" alliance estimated that around 750 people participated in the event, while the police estimated the number to be around 550.

In Freiberg, several counter-demonstrations were registered beforehand. The far-right micro-party "Free Saxony" and its youth organisation, "The Young Nationalists" (formerly NPD), were among the participants. An encounter between demonstrators and counter-demonstrators took place on the Freiberg market square, where they exchanged loud slogans.

Two administrative offense proceedings have been initiated against the counter-demonstrators in Freiberg for violating assembly regulations. Additionally, an investigation has been initiated due to suspicion of using symbols of unconstitutional organisations on the part of the counter-demonstrators, as per a police spokesman.

No clashes occurred between demonstration groups at the CSD in Freiberg, according to the organizers. Contrastingly, the CSD in Zittau was celebrated peacefully, with around 460 participants, according to police reports. No specific number of participants was mentioned for the Zittau event, but a spontaneously registered counter-demonstration by a private individual had 33 participants.

The CSD in Freiberg was held under the motto "Defend Diversity! Glitter against Hate!". The CSD in Zittau also took place, but no details about any actions or decisions made during the demonstrations were provided.

In both cities, the events passed off without any incidents being reported. The police described the CSD in Freiberg as "largely trouble-free". In Zittau, no incidents were reported during the CSD.
