German Federal Police Directorate's Mission at Munich's Security Conference
The Bundespolizeiinspektion Munich is gearing up for the 61st Munich Security Conference (MSC), scheduled to take place from February 14 to 16, 2025. The non-operational headquarters for the investigative service of the Bundespolizei is located at Denisstraße 1, Munich.
The Bundespolizeiinspektion Munich is responsible for police operations in Deutsche Bahn facilities and the largest German S-Bahn network, including key stations such as the main, eastern, and Pasing stations, as well as the S-Bahn stations Karlsplatz (Stachus) and Marienplatz, and the S-Bahn trunk line.
Senior Police Director Steffen Quaas, the operations leader for the Federal Police, has made it his top priority to ensure the smooth arrival and departure of all travelers, especially conference participants. Approximately 250 officers from the Federal Police will be deployed during peak times, with additional support from Federal Police departments in Deggendorf and Bayreuth, as well as several Bavarian inspections.
The Bundespolizeiinspektion Munich has a substation in Munich East Station and office rooms in Pasing and Freising. On Saturday, during peak time, around 250 Federal Police officers, including service dog handlers and super-recognizers, will be deployed together.
