Gigantic Four-Meter Sculptures Displayed at the Saxon Pumpkin Festival
The 2025 Pumpkin Festival has begun near Chemnitz, Germany, under a clear blue sky. This year's theme is "Circus", and the baroque park of Lichtenwalde Castle is being transformed into a vibrant arena due to 18 intricate pumpkin sculptures.
These figures depict various circus animals and performers, including a horse, an acrobat, a tiger, and a four-meter tall white rabbit. Thousands of decorative and edible pumpkins were used to create these sculptures, which are displayed on wooden frames.
A new addition to the festival this year is an educational trail about autumn fruits. Visitors can learn about the different varieties of apples, pears, and other seasonal produce while wandering through the park.
Another exciting new feature is a walk-through pumpkin maze. Organizers have been working for weeks to build this maze, and it promises to be a fun challenge for festival-goers of all ages.
In addition to the pumpkin sculptures and educational trail, the festival also features a straw playground for children. This play area provides a fun and safe space for young visitors to enjoy the festivities.
The Pumpkin Festival will run until November 2nd, giving visitors plenty of time to explore the colorful circus-themed display. Whether you're a fan of pumpkins, circuses, or just looking for a fun day out, the 2025 Pumpkin Festival is not to be missed!
