Regensburg, Germany, is making a concerted effort to retain qualified international graduates in the region, as part of a joint strategy to bolster its workforce in the long term. As part of this initiative, a leading development partner for innovative technical solutions, Invenio, recently hosted a visit for international students.

Invenio, known for its projects in the fields of engineering and digitalization, welcomed students from various backgrounds, emphasising the importance of opportunities for international talent. Jürgen Schiller, site manager of Invenio in Regensburg, spoke about the significance of personal exchange, stating that it is not just about presenting their company, but also about showcasing possibilities for international talent.

The visit was designed to provide students with a practical insight into the working world in the region. It was one of the measures within the cooperation project "Increase in employment potential," which is supported by the organization "IQ Netzwerk Ostbayern." This organisation focuses on connecting international students with regional companies and long-term retention of qualified international professionals in the government district.

Roland Weiß, an economic developer, expressed his satisfaction with the visit, stating, "Securing skilled workers is one of the central challenges of our time." He went on to say that events such as these are crucial in helping to address this challenge.

The regional management project, which is funded by the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy, is actively committed to recognising and fostering the potential of international students. Katja Eckardt and Jhoana Palacio-Pineda, both involved in the project, emphasised the importance of such cooperations, stating that international students bring immense potential.

The events aimed to network international students with regional companies, creating a "win-win" situation for companies, students, and the Regensburg location. They also highlighted possible career prospects after graduation for international students. The visit to Invenio was part of a series of ongoing events aimed at introducing international specialists to the regional labor market.

Invenio is always looking for motivated, well-trained specialists, regardless of origin or nationality. The company believes that such events are essential in fostering a diverse and talented workforce, which is crucial for innovation and progress in today's globalised world.

The events reiterated Invenio's commitment to opportunities for international talent. They also underscored the region's active commitment to recognising and fostering the potential of international students, providing them with a valuable opportunity to get to know potential employers and establish direct contacts.
