Global Skills Encounter Local Job Prospects
In the heart of Bavaria, Regensburg is making a concerted effort to attract and retain international talent in the fields of engineering and digitalization. This commitment was on display during a recent series of events, which included a visit to Invenio, a leading development partner for innovative technical solutions.
Jürgen Schiller, site manager of Invenio in Regensburg, underscored the importance of personal exchange for the company, stating that it provides an opportunity to present their opportunities to international talents. Invenio offered concrete entry opportunities for young talent from all over the world, showcasing exciting projects in the fields of engineering and digitalization.
Roland Weiß, economic developer at the organisation, was satisfied with the visit. He emphasised that by networking international students with regional companies, a real win-win situation is created. The visit provided an invaluable opportunity for students to get to know potential employers and establish direct contacts.
The visit to Invenio was part of a joint strategy to retain qualified international graduates in the region in the long term. The series of events is one of the measures within the framework of the cooperation project "Increase of employment potential," which is funded by the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy.
Katja Eckardt and Jhoana Palacio-Pineda, both involved in the project, highlighted the importance of such cooperations. They stated that the region is actively committed to recognising and promoting the potential of international students.
The event series is designed to open up long-term prospects in the region, benefiting companies, students, and the location Regensburg. Securing skilled workers is one of the central challenges of the current time, according to Roland Weiß.
The visit to Invenio marks the beginning of a series of events that will continue in the future. The regional management project is a testament to Regensburg's dedication to fostering a vibrant and diverse workforce in the digital age.
