Goldmund's elite amplifier, touted as extraordinary, promises to leave you astonished - but be prepared for an equally awe-inspiring price tag.
Goldmund Unveils the Telos 670: A Luxury Integrated Stereo Amplifier
Goldmund, the Swiss luxury audio brand, has announced the release of their latest offering – the Telos 670 integrated stereo amplifier. This high-end audio device is designed for discerning audiophiles who value pure, uncompromised musical reproduction.
The Telos 670 is a testament to Goldmund's commitment to audio excellence. The amplifier boasts a powerful output of 2 x 215W into 8 ohms, ensuring it can handle even the most demanding power levels. With its dual-circuit architecture, the Telos 670 keeps low and high current paths apart, virtually eliminating harmonic and intermodulation distortion.
One of the standout features of the Telos 670 is its passive heat sink, which consists of a 10mm casing and 30mm radiator chassis. This design enables the amplifier to maintain ideal thermal conditions without the need for an active cooling system. Furthermore, the aluminium chassis functions as a natural Faraday cage, shielding the internals from electromagnetic interference.
The Telos 670's design is as minimalist as it is functional. It features a clean, simple display and two rotary controls, making it easy to use for any audiophile. The amplifier comes in a standard light grey finish, with a black version available upon request.
The Telos 670 is the brainchild of Jean-Philippe Dardenne, the person behind Goldmund's Telos amplification. This amplification is a Class A/B circuit designed for wide bandwidth and ultra-low distortion. Many of the internal components are designed specifically for Goldmund and are exclusive to the brand.
Last year's Telos 690 received multiple five-star reviews for its sound quality and presentation, and the Telos 670 is likely to live up to these high standards. The amplifier has two sets of output binding posts, an RS232 command connector, five analogue RCA inputs, a digital S/PDIF, and a Toslink optical input, providing a wide range of connectivity options.
The pricing of the Telos 670 is beyond the reach of audiophiles of more modest means, with a recommended retail price of 20,000 Swiss francs. However, for those who can afford it, the Telos 670 offers breathtaking realism, power, and simplicity, making it a worthy investment for any audiophile's collection. The Telos 670 is available now.
