Great Canadian Casino & GGPoker Team Up for Exclusive WSOP Tournaments
Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto is set to host exclusive World Series of Poker (WSOP) tournaments and has partnered with GGPoker to enhance its poker experience. The casino will upgrade The Poker Room and GGPoker will become the official sponsor. The partnership will see The Poker Room fitted with high-definition TV screens, fast WiFi, and a players' lounge. Michael Kim, Great Canadian Entertainment's executive vice president, expressed excitement about the GGPoker partnership, which aims to enhance poker offerings at the casino. The casino previously hosted a WSOP Circuit event in 2023, attracting 6,000 players and a CAD 5.5 million prize pool. The WSOP Circuit Bracelet and ring tournaments are set to return, with dates to be announced soon. Sarne Lightman, GGPoker's managing director, also expressed excitement about the partnership, combining live and online poker experiences.
