Grocery stores Edeka and Market Buy are pulling back merchandise of brown can lenses due to a recall.
Edeka and Marktkauf have announced a recall of certain canned brown lentils due to the possibility of small stones in individual cans. The affected products are Edeka Bio Brown Lentils and Edeka Heart Shapes Brown Lentils, with best before dates of 31/01/2028 for Edeka Bio Brown Lentils and 31/05/2028 for Edeka Heart Shapes Brown Lentils.
The recall, made on Wednesday, affects only canned lentils sold at Edeka and Marktkauf. Both products have been removed from sale nationwide.
The manufacturer, Italia Meal S.R.L, has initiated the recall due to the health risk posed by small stones in the lentil cans. Consumers are advised not to consume these products and can return them for a full refund.
The return of the affected products will result in a refund of the purchase price, even without a receipt. Consumers can return the affected Edeka Bio Brown Lentils and Edeka Heart Shapes Brown Lentils with the specified best before dates.
It's important to note that this recall does not affect all canned lentils sold at Edeka and Marktkauf. Only specific products are affected.
