GTIA demonstrates a higher level of proficiency and competence in their work activities.
The Global Leadership Committee (GLC) of the GTIA was founded in July 2025 at the ChannelCon event in Nashville, Tennessee. This new body, responsible for fostering global cooperation between six GTIA regions, was established with the aim of facilitating exchange among members and providing real added value.
The GLC comprises two representatives from each of the six regions: DACH, BeNeLux, UK & Ireland, Southeast Asia, Australia & New Zealand, and North America. MJ Shoer, the Chief Community Officer at GTIA, leads the GLC.
In the DACH region, Otto Schobert and René Claus represent the GLC. Otto Schobert expresses his enthusiasm about the increased collaboration and information exchange among the individual GTIA communities. René Claus, on the other hand, emphasises the need for tailored support for different regions to ensure effective action.
The GLC's areas of focus include Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Channel Development, Data, IoT, the SaaS ecosystem, and Human Resources. These priorities reflect the organisation's commitment to supporting the IT channel in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.
Since its inception, the GLC has been instrumental in organising several community meetings. The first meeting was held in November 2023, followed by the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th meetings in November 2023, March 2024, October 2024, and May 2025, respectively.
The GTIA organisation has restructured itself as a non-profit community dedicated to supporting the IT channel. This restructuring aligns with the GLC's mission to provide real added value to its members.
As the GLC continues to grow and evolve, it is expected to play a significant role in shaping the future of the IT industry on a global scale. With its focus on collaboration, regional support, and innovative technology, the GLC is poised to make a substantial impact in the years to come.
