A shooting incident took place in the 2300-block of East Exchange Street, south suburban Crete Township, Illinois, on Tuesday evening at approximately 9:15 p.m.

According to the Will County Sheriff's Office, which is investigating the shooting, two individuals were inside a car when they were both shot multiple times. Tragically, one of the victims, a man, has died as a result of his injuries. The woman, the second victim, is currently in critical condition at the hospital.

Deputies found a black car with multiple bullet holes at the scene, and approximately 40 shell casings were discovered. However, no further details about the victims or the suspects have been provided. The circumstances leading to the shooting remain unknown at this time.
