The city of Essen is currently in the midst of an investigation following a shooting incident that left a 54-year-old woman injured in the city centre on May 23rd. The homicide commission is actively searching for the suspect, who is believed to have been captured on CCTV footage in a local establishment on Viehofer Street.

The commission has released images of the suspect, who is wearing a black Nike sports jacket and a black Under Armour cap. These images can be viewed at the following link: Suspect's Images.

Investigators are also utilising photos from a surveillance camera for the investigation, and are asking the public for any tips or information regarding the suspect's whereabouts. If the public recognises the fugitive in public, they are urged to immediately call the police emergency number 110. Alternatively, individuals with information about the incident or the fugitive can contact Essen police at 0201-829-0 or at [email protected].

It is important to note that the investigation into the suspect and the incident is ongoing, and the commission is still seeking public help to identify or locate the fugitive. The police were successful in apprehending a 17-year-old student who attacked a teacher with a knife on May 23rd; the suspect was apprehended after a short flight and is currently under medical treatment after being injured during the arrest by police gunfire.
