Halle's Mayor will initiate the "Halle plays!" action day at the Hallmarkt on Sunday.

On Saturday, September 6, the city of Halle (Saale) invites everyone to join the "Halle plays!" event, taking place from 10 am to 6 pm. This exciting day will see a variety of activities, games, and entertainment spread across several locations, including the Central Library, Hallmarkt, Volkshochschule Adolf Reichwein Halle, and the adjacent schoolyard of the Lyonel-Feininger-Gymnasium.

The event will be opened by Dr. Judith Marquardt, Deputy Mayor for Culture and Sport, followed by a cake sale providing refreshments throughout the day. The city games publisher will present "optURBISima - HALLE (SAALE)", a historical Halle game, offering a unique insight into the city's past.

For those interested in tabletop games, a workshop will allow fans to immerse themselves in fantastical worlds and paint their own miniatures. Card game enthusiasts can participate in trading card matches with popular games like Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Magic, and more, using rental decks.

The Halle table football club "Kixx'n'trixx" invites challenges to professional players in the "Beat a Pro" contest. Meanwhile, the Go association will provide insights into a traditional strategy game, offering a chance to learn a new skill.

For children and families, a large game safari will lead them through the event locations, inviting them to collect stamps. Those who complete seven stations can participate in a tombola to win attractive game prizes.

In addition, attendees can try out and discover new analog games, including the current "Game of the Year" and the "Favorite Game of the Würfelpech e.V." The association "Würfelpech" will bring its extensive game library for on-site use.

Hagen Behr will showcase his fantasy games, while "Tohuwabohohu" will offer a program of movement and fun. The city library will be open until 6 pm, offering gaming fun on all floors, including the reading courtyard.
