Stolen Ride-On Lawnmower Collides in Hamm-Herringen

A theft of a ride-on lawnmower from a cemetery in Hamm-Herringen took place on Friday, August 29th, around 11 a.m. at the street "An der Falkschule". Two 14-year-old juveniles were responsible for the theft.

The stolen ride-on lawnmower was later involved in a collision with a guardrail. Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the incident, and the guardrail remained undamaged. Initially, the juveniles fled the scene on foot unnoticed after the collision.

Further investigations led to the location and identification of the two juveniles. As a result, a criminal proceeding for theft of a motor vehicle has been initiated against both individuals.

Initially, a police helicopter was deployed for the search, as it was assumed that the stolen vehicle was a tractor. However, it was later confirmed that the ride-on lawnmower was the vehicle that was stolen and later involved in the collision.
