What started as a small clinic of 16 beds has grown into a hospital that embodies hope for countless lives. Yet, the demand only increases. With a €80,000 contribution from the SiGMA Foundation, in partnership with EGT Digital, four new medical consultation rooms and a patient recovery garden are being built - each brick representing another step towards giving these communities a fair chance to thrive. "Each brick is another brick in the wall of a shared purpose," says Father Portelli, his voice reflecting gratitude and determination.
Collaboration Beyond Borders
EGT Digital's involvement extends far beyond a mere corporate social responsibility mention. The team walked the muddy roads of Iquitos, conversed with families, and witnessed firsthand what it means to have access to healthcare. Before that, in November, the Walk the Via Francigena before the conference will take place in Rome, a 40km trek to raise funds for SiGMA Foundation projects in education, health, and community development.
