Heppenheim resident illegally sells puppies for profit
In the quiet town of Heppenheim, a disturbing incident unfolded at a local flea market over the weekend. A 77-year-old man, who is now a suspect, attempted to illegally sell puppies at the market.
The man's actions quickly escalated, leading to a confrontation with the police. He physically assaulted a 30-year-old police officer, punching her in the face, and exhibited rude behavior towards other policewomen. Furthermore, he threw a pot at two of her police colleagues during the incident.
The incident occurred during the seizure of the animals, and as a result, the man was arrested on Saturday. The three police officers sustained slight injuries, but thankfully, no serious harm was reported.
The veterinary office is now in charge of the care for the puppies that were the subject of the incident. The police have reported the details of the incident, and the 77-year-old is currently under investigation for resisting arrest, as well as the illegal sale of dogs.
