Hertha BSC have announced the signing of Konstantin Heide from SpVgg Unterhaching. The 17-year-old goalkeeper has put pen to paper on a contract that will keep him at the club until 2028.

Heide, who has previously played for Kirchheimer SC, made his professional debut in the 3rd league for SpVgg Unterhaching in October 2023. Since then, he has made a total of 26 appearances in the league.

The youngster's impressive form has not gone unnoticed, with Sporting director Benjamin Weber expressing his delight at Heide joining Hertha BSC. "Konstantin has great potential, and we are pleased to have him on board," Weber said.

Heide himself is looking forward to the new challenge in Berlin. "I am really excited to join Hertha BSC and can't wait to get started," he said. "I'm ready to give my all for the club and do everything I can to help the team succeed."

Heide will wear the number 13 jersey at Hertha BSC, a number that has been worn by some of the club's most iconic goalkeepers, including Thomas Kraft and Rune Jarstein.

The young goalkeeper has also had success at international level, having won both the EM and WM titles with the U17 of the DFB in 2023. He has also played 17 games for U-national teams.

Hertha BSC are represented by the company Hertha BSC GmbH & Co. KGaA. The club are currently in 10th place in the Bundesliga, and will be hoping that Heide can help them climb the table in the second half of the season.

With his impressive debut season behind him, and a long-term contract at a top-flight club ahead of him, Konstantin Heide is certainly one to watch in the future of German football.
