Highway Infractions on the Dual Carriageway
In the quiet town of Braunschweig, a series of events unfolded on two separate occasions in July and August of 2025.
On the morning of July 31st, between 6:00 and 11:00, several criminal complaints were reported within the town. The Braunschweig Police are currently handling this case.
Meanwhile, on a different note, a cyclist was stopped by the police on the A39 near Flechtorf. The cyclist, a 44-year-old man traveling towards Berlin, was using an eBike that was suspected to be stolen. The cyclist was taken to a police station for further investigation, and the seized eBike is now subject to both criminal and administrative offense proceedings.
The following day, a truck was stopped by the police in Braunschweig. The driver, a 33-year-old man, was found to be under the influence of both alcohol and drugs. The driver's alcohol level was around 0.6 per thousand, and physical tests suggested drug use. As a result, the driver now faces criminal proceedings, and a security deposit in the five-digit range has been required. Furthermore, the driver's further journey was prohibited.
The truck was found to be significantly under the prescribed safety distance from the vehicle ahead, adding to the driver's charges. A blood sample was taken from the driver for further analysis.
