Hindrances encountered in Wiesbaden: These specific areas impacted
In the coming weeks, several roads and public transportation routes in Wiesbaden will be impacted by ongoing construction work. Here's a breakdown of the affected areas and necessary detours:
- Abraham-Lincoln-Straße: The section between Berliner Straße house numbers 38 and 44 will be a one-way street until approximately September 12th, due to work on long-distance heating lines. A detour will be signposted for commuters.
- Wiesbadener Landstraße: From Wiesbaden Ost Train Station, bus lines 6 and 33 will take a detour via Albertstraße and Biebricher Straße due to construction work. From September 2nd until approximately October 17th, the road will be partially closed between Wiesbaden Straße and Albertstraße. Additionally, a one-way traffic regulation will be established in the direction of Norden, and the southern traffic will be rerouted via Albertstraße/Biebricher Straße.
- Im Hopfengarten street, Auringen: Construction work for the expansion of the fiber optic network will result in a full closure from approximately September 20th for about a week. Cyclists are affected, but pedestrians can pass on the Roonstraße.
- Schulstraße, Kostheim: The street will remain fully closed between house number 10 and Münchhofstraße until approximately September 19th, for canal renovation and supply line renewal.
- Wallufer Straße, Kostheim: House number 3 will be closed until approximately September 29th, for the setup of a crane with a rubble bucket.
- Roonstraße: From the entrance Yorckstraße to Westendstraße will be fully closed from Monday, September 1st, until approximately early December, due to the renewal of the canal.
- Privatstraße, Bierstadt: No closures or disruptions are expected in the next few weeks due to construction work.
- Wiesbadener Landstraße, Amöneburg: From September 5 to approximately September 17, 2025, the road will be partially closed. Bus lines MR-84 and MR-87 will be affected; the stops "Unter den Stockwiesen" and "Steinweg" will not be served, and passengers should use the "Bahnhof" stop instead.
