Volunteers Shine in Nettetal: Honorary Cards Recognize Exceptional Commitment

Nettetal, a vibrant city in North Rhine-Westphalia, is home to a multitude of dedicated individuals who contribute significantly to the community through their selfless service. These volunteers, the backbone of a thriving city society, have been recognized with the Honorary Card NRW and the Jubilee Honorary Card.

Melanie Beckmann, a board member and caregiver for children's groups at DJK Sportfreunde Leuth e.V., and a supporter of the rehabilitation sports group of TV Breyell, is one such individual. Lorena Hegholz, who promotes handball through her continuous work at TSV Kaldenkirchen, also receives this prestigious award.

The Honorary Card is a symbol of appreciation for exceptionally committed volunteers. To be eligible, one must have been volunteering for at least three years, dedicating five hours a week. Among the recipients are Birgit Sittardt, Hubertine Koenen, Eva Kummer, and Alfred Schillings, who were honoured for their commitment at the Nettetaler Tafel. Heide Baldus received the Jubilee Honorary Card for her over 30-year commitment in the Evangelical Church Community An der Nette.

Simon Kühn, a board member and group leader at the Pfadfinder DPSG St. Clemens Kaldenkirchen, and a member of the DRK local association Nettetal, is another recipient. He is joined by Ruth Göbbels, a Scout member for over 37 years, who was honored with the Jubilee Honorary Card.

The Scouts from the DPSG Stamm St. Peter Hinsbeck and St. Clemens Kaldenkirchen are also active in group meetings, board work, and organizing camps. Benjamin Blanken, Tim Cleven, Laura-Maria Finken, Kim Ronja Göbbels, Merlin Göbbels, Nils Höfling, and Jenny Lisa Richter are among the dedicated members.

In the realm of culture, Mirko Billen was honored with the Jubilee Honorary Card for his long-standing commitment to the theater association Buhne 69 e.V. and the Evangelical Church Community Lobberich/Hinsbeck.

Hermann-Josef Radermacher, a member of the Volunteer Fire Department Nettetal since 1990 and currently the spokesperson of the honorary department, also received the Jubilee Honorary Card.
